It will be useful to bring along old reports of eye tests and surgeries from other doctors or opticians.

Please bring along the spectacles that you normally use.

For the first visit, a dilated eye examination (to check the inside of your eye) may be required. The eye drops used to dilate your pupils may lead to near vision blurring as well as some light sensitivity. These effects may last from half a day to a day. It is best to bring along sunglasses and if you drive, to find alternative transport arrangements.
